RECENT NEWS AND EVENTS
Community Peer Group (CPG) meetings

Canada East Coast

The second annual Canada East Coast CPG was staged October 11 in Truro, Nova Scotia. Sponsored by Cloudwave, NTT Data, Meditrain, Pure Storage and Sedona Learning Solutions, the event drew more than 60 attendees. The program featured provincial updates from New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and Nova Scotia, as well as a host of excellent presentations highlighting solutions, improvements, processes and integrations within MEDITECH. Also, a favorite of attendees was the site visit/tour at Colchester East Hants Health Centre.

This event was filled with value for attendees and sponsors alike, and many thanks go to the event leaders, Kevin Hick and Sam Fielding!

Ellicot City served as the location for the second annual Maryland CPG, which was held on October 25. Attendees learned about various topics, including RN Care Plans Optimization, OBS Charging, Care Alerts and Navigator/Care Clinic/Discharge Clinics. MEDITECH presenters also offered a Web Point of Care demo.

Plenty of networking time gave attendees the opportunity to discuss the hot topics, trade stories and ideas, and visit with the event sponsor, Forward Advantage.

MUN conference (and IEE News)
Congratulations to Raphael Jaffrezic (CIO at the Galway Clinic in Galway, Ireland) and his team for successfully staging the MEDITECH Users Network (MUN) conference in Liverpool, UK. This conference brought together fellow MEDITECH users for education and discussions, plus, a good time was had by all!

MUSE CEO Alan Sherbinin (right) congratulates Monica Jones, the Associate Director of Information Services at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust in  Rotherham, UK, for winning the International Education Exchange (IEE) contest at the MUN conference.
