The CY 2020 Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment (OPPS) Updated Hospital Price Transparency Requirements (CMS-1717-F2) are currently slated to go into effect on January 1, 2021. These regulations require all hospitals to report pricing information related to services and diagnostic tests on a public site where it can be reviewed and downloaded by consumers. The content and reporting requirements are very specific and will take advanced planning to accommodate the requirement. In addition, there are penalties for non-compliance with the regulations.
