Benefits of Bed Management Desktop 6.08 (offers a CNE credit!)

When:  Nov 12, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (CT)
This webinar will help you to understand the benefits of using Bed Management Desktop, and hear the story of its implementation.

Leadership from the Emergency Department at Catawba Valley Medical Center requested using Bed Request to assist in decreasing ED throughput times. Upon evaluation, there were many things that needed to happen before this functionality could be implemented. It has taken over two years and several phases to implement Bed Management Desktop. The first phase of the project was to change location mnemonic and accommodation codes. The next phase evolved around Environmental Services’ needs. The last phase was to understand the impact on the Administrator on Duty and clinical areas.

Upon gathering data from multiple disciplines and departments, we have found some benefits of using Bed Management Desktop. It has assisted with decreasing clicks, multiple phone calls and ability to review patient information on one screen.

At the end of this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Explain the benefits of utilizing bed management desktop
  • Describe a phased implementation
  • Identify issues/obstacles
  • Recognize opportunities for improvement
