This webinar will provide an overview of the implementation of eSBAR in mental heath services. We will explore:

  • How can an electronic transfer of care process positively impact care and decrease risk during care transitions?
  • Why does the SBAR format works well in an electronic setting?
  • We will analyze key elements to make the transition to electronic process a success.

Presenter:
Jeannie Borg is a Registered Nurse with a diverse clinical background and has worked in the area of Informatics for the past 12 years. Currently, Jeannie is the Director of Clinical Informatics and Patient Client Flow at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care. In 2014, Jeannie established the Clinical Informatics department at Waypoint and in 2017 was part of the leadership team who successfully implemented a HIMSS Level 6 EHR at Waypoint. Jeannie is passionate about leveraging technology to achieve clinical excellence and improving patient outcomes. Jeannie is currently pursuing her Masters in Leadership at the University of Guelph Lang School of Business.
